Certification

When you buy a diamond it should have a recognized certificate.  Do not buy a diamond without a certificate and do not buy a diamond with an 'in-house' certificate.  The certificate acts like the diamond's passport.  The serial number on the certificate can even be laser inscribed on the actual stone for added security ask us for more details- engagement rings ireland.

Your certificate is the most important part of purchasing a diamond. It is the only way of knowing that the stone in your engagement ring is what the jeweller says it is.  The certificate should be from one of the three tier 1 certifiers that self-regulate the diamond industry; namely GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) www.gialondon.com, IGI (International gemmological institute) www.igiworldwide.com, HRD www.hrd.be.   These global organisations use the latest technologies to ensure uniformity of standard in diamonds.

The certificate will tell you about your diamond's 4 C’s and it will include the diamond's individual serial number.  Each certifier does this in a different way.
