Can I return the diamond?

As you have probably gathered by now we operate in a very different way to high street shops.  Of course you can return your diamond if there is a problem with it or there is a manufacturing defect in the jewellery.  But, our business model is similar to a wholesaler.  We buy your diamonds directly from the major diamond manufacturers and they do not want them back!  The industry has changed so that these huge diamond producers now offer their inventory to select websites such as ours.  The prices are unbelievable so we need to work with them.  The most important thing about this way of buying diamonds is that you totally understand what you are buying.  This is however not so difficult and we have provided every resource in our site to help you arrive at just this point.  In addition we will work with you to help you work out the very best solution which we can then source at wholesale prices!  So, to summarize we do not see any reason why you would return your diamond because you will be able to make a fully informed decision when you purchase it.

Do you have showrooms that we can come and see your stock?

Fortunately, Dublin and other major cities in Ireland are full of jewellers with a large amount of inventory.  Most people who buy from us actually get ideas and see actual diamonds in these shops before deciding.  Having said this, we normally have several stones in stock and meet clients regularly in the Westbury or other hotels for consultations. We don't carry stock because our prices would have to increase accordingly and we are happy that you can do the necessary touch & feel research elsewhere.

What is the best clarity?

Clarity ranges from IF (internally flawless) to I1 (inclusions are visible to the naked eye).  You can do very well with SI diamonds however most people go for VS clarity.  You should read our section on the 4 C's here and if you would like to talk over the differences with someone then please call us - it is easier over the phone!  We can also talk you through how different cuts are better for different clarities, for example, the emerald cut has so few facets the diamond must be a higher clarity, otherwise they would affect the diamond's sparkle.  The princess cut on the other hand can achieve near perfection with SI1 or SI2 because it 'works' in a different way to round or emerald cut diamonds due to it's square shape.
